We absolutely loved the quaint town of Frisco, Colorado! Joe had stayed there after he graduated from high school (quite a few years ago 😉) and we decided to stay there while we were enjoying some Colorado adventures.

One of the first items on our agenda, was to take a walk through town to see if we could find where he stayed. We were fully prepared to find out that it was no longer there, as it seemed like many new homes and businesses had been built. A lot can happen in that amount of time. 😉

As we were walking through town, we were amazed! Friends, I need to tell you that this town knows how to decorate! There were the most gorgeous blooms everywhere! Just about every business had hanging baskets and planters overflowing with some of the most beautiful flowers! Even walking through the residential areas was a sight to behold!

Joe had stayed in the town for about 4-5 months, and really enjoyed the fishing, mountain climbing, and spectacular views. I’m glad he had such a vivid memory of his time here as it made our search so much easier. We walked down a few side streets, made a wrong turn here and there, but we eventually found the destination we were looking for! This is the apartment he and his friend stayed at while they were there.

I would have stayed for an extended time, too! Here are some of the views from the apartment:

After we found the apartment, we decided to wander around town a bit more. We were so glad that we did! We found this incredible Frisco Historic Park & Museum. It has some of the oldest structures in Frisco in a beautiful and enjoyable setting. Most of the buildings were closed, but it was still very cool to walk around, read the plaques, and learn about the history of the town.

The Log Chapel was open, so we went inside and enjoyed the film about the history of Frisco. It was really interesting and we loved the inside of the Chapel.

We also had some fun in the park! They had some really cool sculptures and an eclectic collection of yarn bombing. We had never seen this type of tree graffiti before, but we thought it was a great way to express creativity in an environmentally safe way!

Walking along the main street, aptly called East Main Street, we found some really nice street side dining and unique shops.

They were also some quirky, cool, and completely creative creatures we found along the way.
