Crescent Beach, FL

After all of our traveling, we needed a place to go to have a chill day and enjoy some salt water therapy. One of our favorite places for that is Crescent Beach, Florida. 🏖️

Located south of St. Augustine, Crescent Beach has some of the most beautiful white sand beaches on the Atlantic. We love to take long walks along the water. The water is shallow for the kiddos to wade safely, but it gets deeper the further you go out. We’ve seen quite a few surfers catching a wave out there. 🏄‍♀️

The hard packed sand does allow for vehicles to drive–just don’t forget to get your permit, since those are required for vehicles on the beach. The hard packed sand also allows for people to bring their bikes to ride, and when my kiddos were younger, it was one of the easiest beaches to push them in the stroller. 😊

Bird watching is always nice there, too. The sand pipers are adorable! You can also find seagulls, pelicans, and osprey. 🕊️

We have seen turtles and tortoises at Crescent Beach on more than one occasion! 🐢It’s really neat to see them up close–but not too close. We don’t want to interfere with their nesting. We didn’t see them this time, but that’s ok. We’ll go again soon. 😉

The shelling is pretty good, too. Tip: the shelling is usually best in the morning or after a storm. We’ve found some beautiful shells and a few sand dollars! 🐚
