In addition to loving ships, we have a joyful enthusiasm for aircraft! ✈ So what do you do when the world’s largest airshow is just a few miles from one of your favorite relatives? You head over for a visit, of course! 😁#OSH24 #Airventure #Oshkosh #EAA

We had incredible weather just about all week long for the EAA Airventure. 🌞 The few showers thankfully were short-lived. When we arrived on Saturday, the planes were coming in, too. So we got to see lots and lots of planes flying overhead as we got closer to our destination. 🛩✈🛩 We took a load off and decided to relax by the pool and watch the planes fly above us. 😎

The kids (us included, lol) all had fun swimming and relaxing. 🏊‍♀️🥽 We also had fun shooting off fireworks! 🎆

We decided to get a bit closer to the planes on Wednesday. ✈ It was a great day for it! 🌞 It wasn’t overly crowded and the temperature was a bit cooler. We got up close and personal to the fighter jets! We were able to go past the fence line for a few minutes (with permission) and got some amazing pics! 📷

When the fighter jets were getting ready to taxi down the runway, we were as close as we could get! 🤩 We were in the jet-wash zone! It was awesome! It was so loud you could feel it all the way to your toes! 👣It even shook the ground! It was an incredible experience! 😄

Our favorite planes that we could see at the airfield were the F-22’s and F-35’s. It was also cool to watch the French Color Brigade and Canadian Snowbirds. 😎 We also got to see a flyover from the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds were there, too. We really liked to see the experimental aircraft and watching the aerial aerobatics! The sky-writers were also pretty fantastic! 😏

There were thousands of privately owned airplanes there. Seaplanes, biplanes, bombers, fighter jets, military planes, and more than I can name were all around. 😵 This year had record numbers with over 10,000 planes and approximately 686,000 people!!! 🤩 Whoop Whoop!!!

Back at the house, we were able to see planes rocking above us. It was pretty hard to get some fantastic pics because they were so fast! ✈ There were some planes that were so fast that literally seconds went by while they were flying above us and we heard them after they were already gone, lol. 😂 It was awesome to be able to attend this amazing Airventure and we’re already looking forward to next year!
